The Story Behind This Candle

D-Day marks one of the most pivotal moments of the twentieth century. On June 6, 1944, Allied forces launched a massive amphibious invasion along the beaches of Normandy, France, opening a critical front against Nazi Germany. Under relentless fire and overwhelming uncertainty, American, British, and Allied troops pushed ashore, turning a precarious landing into the beginning of liberation for Western Europe.

The scale of the operation was unprecedented. Thousands of ships, aircraft, and soldiers moved in coordinated precision, yet the outcome depended on individual acts of courage carried out under extreme conditions. The cost was immense, but the success of the landings shifted the momentum of the war and set the stage for the eventual defeat of the Axis powers.

The Sea Salt and Embers scent reflects the stark contrasts of that day—cold ocean air, burning equipment, and the lingering smoke of battle. Notes of sea salt and smoldering wood create a restrained, atmospheric fragrance that honors sacrifice while marking the moment when hope took hold and the long road toward liberation began.
