The Story Behind This Candle
On October 19, 1781, American and French forces achieved a decisive victory over the British Army at Yorktown, Virginia, effectively ending the Revolutionary War. General George Washington’s successful siege forced the surrender of General Charles Cornwallis, marking the final major military engagement of the conflict and paving the way for American independence.
The victory at Yorktown demonstrated the determination, perseverance, and unity of those who fought for liberty. Two years later, the Treaty of Paris formally recognized the United States as an independent nation, securing the freedoms that continue to shape the country today.
Tobacco & Oak was selected to reflect the Virginia countryside where history was made. Rich tobacco leaf, aged oak, and warm amber create a timeless fragrance that honors the courage, sacrifice, and triumph that secured a new nation’s future.
