Battle of the Bulge

Fought between December 16, 1944, and January 25, 1945, the Battle of the Bulge was the final major German offensive campaign on the Western Front during World War II. Launched through the snow-covered Ardennes Forest, the surprise attack sought to divide the Allied forces and change the course of the war. Despite harsh winter conditions and overwhelming pressure, American and Allied troops held their ground, ultimately forcing the German offensive to fail.
